Young dad passes away suddenly, doctors make shocking discovery in his lungs.

Dylan Jay Watts, a 28-year-old father from Broulee, a quaint coastal town on Australia’s New South Wales coast, was diagnosed with a life-threatening lung infection.

The bacteria caused this young dad to suffer from an astonishing 72 irreparable holes in his lungs, which ultimately led to his untimely death just days before his 29th birthday.

Dylan was remembered as a dedicated father who cherished life. When his son was born, he shared a touching message, stating, “Words cannot express how much more purpose I feel with you in my life!”

Reflecting on Dylan, Cheyenne O’Brien, a family friend, shared her thoughts on the tragic situation, noting that even though Dylan had been seriously ill for some time, his passing still came as a surprise to those who loved him.

“Even though the 28-year-old had been critically ill in the weeks and days leading up to his death, his family and friends were taken aback by his passing,” she remarked.

Caitlyn, Dylan’s sister, told Daily Mail Australia, “I discovered in July of last year just how serious things had become, that he had holes in his lungs and had spent three weeks in the hospital after coughing up blood.” She continued, “His doctor mentioned that if he hadn’t gone in so quickly, it could have been fatal for him.”

Unfortunately, Dylan faced ongoing health issues—coughing, reflux, fatigue, and mental health challenges. When standard treatments didn’t provide relief, he finally pursued specialized care in early 2024, following a lung hemorrhage that landed him in the hospital for three weeks.

His sister mentioned that by that time, he was on so many medications that they could fill a whole backpack.

“He was in a really bad state but still battling for his health and hopeful for some form of recovery,” Caitlyn shared.

Unfortunately, his condition worsened to the point where doctors informed him he wouldn’t survive to see his 30th birthday. Tragically, he didn’t even reach his 29th birthday.
