Ozzy Osbourne Laid to Rest in Birmingham Tribute

Legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” was laid to rest on July 30 in his hometown of Birmingham following a public procession. Fans worldwide gathered as his hearse traveled past landmarks like the Black Sabbath Bridge, adorned with tributes and purple flowers—his signature color.

Ozzy died at age 76, surrounded by family. His wife Sharon and children Kelly, Jack, and Aimee joined fans in a tearful farewell, with a brass band playing during the procession. The family covered all funeral costs, keeping the private service details undisclosed.

Ozzy, who had battled Parkinson’s disease for years, donated millions to related causes and played a final benefit concert in Birmingham this month. Though known for his dark persona, he wanted his funeral to be a celebration—humorous, grateful, and free of sorrow.
