During his own military parade, Trump appears to fall asleep, leaving people stunned
Donald Trump celebrated his birthday by hosting a $45 million military parade to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Army, but one detail has sparked outrage.
Hundreds of thousands of people gathered to see the army march down, cheering and noticing tanks, joyous banners, and flags everywhere.
However, while the celebration was in full swing, attendees only noticed one thing.
On Saturday, June 14, Donald Trump celebrated his 79th birthday in Washington, DC.
Trump strolled out to ‘Hail to the Chief’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ with First Lady Melania Trump, his family, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and other officials, and everything appeared to be going well.
The military kicked off the parade, with tanks, planes, and parachutes descending from the sky while over 6,000 uniformed troops patrolled the capital.
What a sight! Seeing the parade would be so amazing that you would be left speechless in astonishment, wouldn’t you?
Wrong.
When the cameras focused on the president, they seemed to depict him growing weary of the spectacle before him.
In reality, he looked to be resisting sleep (unsuccessfully).
The president was sitting near his wife when he started dipping his head every now and then, his eyes completely closed.
At times, he would keep his head down for a prolonged period, which led viewers of the video online to criticize him.
One reader wrote, “General Fatten orders a gazillion-dollar military parade and then falls asleep during it.” “Don Snorleone strikes again!”
Another scathing remark: “It’s time to remove him from office.” He’s too old.”

Someone wrote, “He wasted public funds on a parade that he ended up finding very uninteresting and was obliged to remain for the entire time.” Amazing.”
As a result, many individuals were upset that Trump appeared to be dozing during the ceremony.
At the end of the historic procession, the president delivered an eight-minute speech to the spectators and military troops, stating, in part, “Every other country celebrates its victories.” America must adopt a similar approach.
“We’re the hottest country in the world right now,” he said. “If you threaten the American people, our soldiers are coming for you.”
However, despite claims that 250,000 people came, photos of the attendees and the procession led many to suspect that figure was overstated, with reports from the Associated Press, the New York Times, and Fox News indicating that the turnout was far lower than advertised.
People then resorted to social media to describe the low attendance.
” Bro said ‘show of military power.’ “I see lawn chairs and a Bluetooth speaker,” one Twitter user said. “It looks like a recruiting booth at Six Flags.”
“More people IN the parade than AT the parade,” said another.
So, there are many varied perspectives on the parade, and even more on how many people showed up.
