Melania Trump spokesperson denies ‘false’ rumor about Trump and Barron
Donald Trump is currently engaged in a heated confrontation with none other than Harvard University, a conflict that has ignited a flurry of wild theories and speculation.
However, an unexpected voice has emerged: Melania Trump is stepping in — and she’s making her stance clear.
Trump’s recent criticism of Harvard
The conflict between Donald Trump and Harvard University has reached a dramatic new level, with the former president now calling on all federal agencies to end their contracts with the Ivy League school.
Central to this standoff is a growing dispute regarding records related to foreign students — a matter that has already led Harvard to file a lawsuit against the federal government in an attempt to recover around $3.2 billion in frozen grant funds.
On Monday, Trump took to Truth Social to criticize Harvard as “very antisemitic” and suggested the possibility of reallocating the school’s federal funding to other places.

“I am genuinely considering reallocating all federal funding from Harvard to trade schools throughout our country,” he stated. “What an excellent investment that would be for the USA, and it is desperately needed!!!”
As tensions escalate, this situation has ignited a flurry of speculation online. One notably viral theory suggested that Trump’s anger towards Harvard originated from his son Barron supposedly being turned down by the institution.
“I can’t help but wonder…”
Back in April, Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse was quite vocal in his inquiries regarding the Trump administration’s pressure tactics on prestigious universities.
“I can’t help but wonder how many Trumps were turned down by Harvard,” Whitehouse shared on X, after Harvard declined to meet former President Trump’s requests to change its admissions, hiring, and institutional policies earlier in April.
In a 2024 interview with the Daily Mail, Donald Trump asserted that his son had been accepted to “a lot” of colleges and had thought about attending the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where Trump himself had studied.
However, Barron ultimately chose NYU’s Stern School of Business.
“He’s a very smart guy, and he’ll be going to Stern, the business school, which is a great school at NYU,” Trump remarked. “It’s a very high-quality place. He liked it. He liked the school.”
Melania speaks out
In light of the online speculation, there has been no official confirmation that the youngest Trump ever submitted an application to Harvard — or to Columbia University, another Ivy League institution that has faced criticism from the Trump administration.
Now, another perspective is entering the discussion — this time from someone who is somewhat distanced from the situation, yet certainly not uninvolved. Barron Trump’s mother, former First Lady Melania Trump, is finally speaking up.
A representative for Melania swiftly rejected the ongoing rumors, clearly stating that they are unfounded. According to the Palm Beach Post, her spokesperson Nicholas Clemens remarked, “Barron did not apply to Harvard, and any claim that he, or anyone acting on his behalf, applied is entirely false.”

Melania’s message is unmistakable: her son is not to be involved in the political games associated with the Ivy League.
However, on the other hand… we all recognize that Trump often takes things to heart. So, is it really so unbelievable to consider that there could be more happening here?
