Donald Trump Jr. has come under fire for making a ‘vile’ comment following Joe Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis.
The president’s eldest son, called Don Jr., has gotten himself in serious trouble after making an inappropriate remark on the news of Biden’s bad health.
On Sunday (May 18), the 82-year-old former president’s office issued a statement confirming Biden’s diagnosis of prostate cancer with a Gleason score of nine (Grade Group 5), which has migrated to his bones.
Biden has subsequently received many well-wishes, notably from President Donald Trump.
However, it appears that his son did not receive the word, as Don Jr. used the chance to reportedly criticize Biden’s wife, Jill.
He left a message: “I am curious about how Dr. Jill Biden might have overlooked stage five metastatic cancer, or if there might be another explanation for this situation?”
The 47-year-old trustee and executive vice president of the Trump Organization also agreed with a ‘without question’ statement that Biden was ‘running the country as a vegetable beneath the rug.’
Dozens of people have subsequently condemned his statement as ‘vile’ and ‘absolute trash.’
“Mocking a man’s cancer and blaming his wife, who isn’t even a medical doctor, demonstrates how low and shallow he is.” ‘Stage Five’? Another remark stated, “It’s Grade Group 5, bonehead.” “This is not politics. It’s harsh. It’s ugly, stupid, and disgusting. There’s nothing else to label it.
Many pointed out that Jill Biden holds a PhD in education and is not a doctor, to which one remarked, “But you don’t have to be a medical doctor to diagnose Donald Trump Jr. as terminally stupid and a vile human being.”
A third person accused Don Jr. of shamelessly disguising his opportunism as patriotism.
“You’re slime.” Another person described Don Jr. as “absolute slime.”
Harry Sisson, a Democratic campaigner, added, “Donald Trump Jr. just made fun of President Biden’s cancer diagnosis.” This is where we stand in American politics. Trump Jr. is a pitiful, repulsive conman who doesn’t understand decency. Shame on him.
The inflammatory tweet came only a few hours after Don Jr. published a picture with the caption “BREAKING: Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Politics aside, we wish him a swift recovery.”
The father of five captioned the post with “Agreed 100 percent.”
During his campaign last year, Biden’s health became a major worry for voters.
His televised performance in a 90-minute debate versus Trump raised worries, causing then-White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to issue a statement denying that Biden had Alzheimer’s.
The 46th President of the United States then dropped out of the race, passing the mantle to former Vice President Kamala Harris, who was eventually defeated by Trump.
Biden’s prostate cancer has a Gleason score of Grade 5, the most aggressive, but his representatives claimed in a statement that doctors discovered it is ‘hormone-sensitive,’ allowing for ‘effective therapy’ of the illness.
Don Jr.’s sentiments came after the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, issued a touching tweet that read, “Michelle and I are thinking of the entire Biden family.”
“No one has done more to develop breakthrough medicines for cancer in all of its manifestations than Joe, and I am confident he will face this challenge with his usual tenacity and elegance.
“We pray for a fast and full recovery.”
Meanwhile, President Trump issued a note of solidarity, saying, “Melania and I are sorry to learn about Joe Biden’s terrible medical diagnosis.
“We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
