The chair had been standing in our house for almost 30 years 😲 During this time, the brown coating had faded, and there was a large hole in the center 😢 At first, I just wanted to get rid of the old furniture, but then I decided to give it a second life 🥰 A few days later, I got an updated chair 😍 I’m showing the result at the link in the comments ⬇️⬇️
This chair stood in our house for many years. It remembered holidays, quiet family evenings and endless conversations in the kitchen.
But time had not been kind to it – the brown covering had faded, and the legs creaked with every movement. There was a huge hole in the center of the chair. It was in terrible condition, but I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away.
I decided to give it a second life. The work took several days: first, I had to remove the old paint and clean the surface, then strengthen the loose parts. The hole remained in the center of the chair.
Once the chair was strong and smooth, I got down to the fun part – painting.
The white color made it completely different, fresh and elegant. But something was missing… Then I added small stickers with roses.
I prepared the printouts –I processed their edges so that they would not be visible when gluing. And at the very end I covered everything with varnish.
I ended up with a fresher, more vintage looking chair for my home.
Now this chair is a decoration of the room. It looks gentle and cozy, and most importantly, the history of our house lives in it, only now – updated and beautiful.
