During the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver, Prince Harry shared a touching moment about his five-year-old son, Prince Archie, who has been asking to see photos and videos of his late grandmother, Princess Diana.
While discussing landmines with Archie, their conversation naturally led to Diana’s humanitarian work.
“Archie was curious about landmines, and as I was explaining, I found myself talking about my mum, his grandma, which I hadn’t even considered,” Harry revealed.
This moment sparked Archie’s interest in learning more about Diana’s legacy. “He wanted to see photos and videos of her working with landmines all those years ago. It led to a really meaningful conversation between us,” Harry shared.
Princess Diana was a passionate advocate for landmine awareness, famously walking through a minefield in Angola in 1997 to promote a global ban. Following in her footsteps, Harry visited the same location 22 years later to continue raising awareness.
Harry previously mentioned calling Diana “Grandma Diana” to his children, keeping her memory alive through stories and photos in their home. He also expressed feeling her presence, saying, “She’s watching over us.”
