Sadly, Christmas turned into a source of conflict for one family, and the mother gave her daughter a warning and might have even asked her to leave the party she was throwing.

On Reddit, the mother told her incident and asked other users if she was in the right or not.

In particular, she clarified that her children are very different in age. Her high school lover, her ex-husband, gave birth to her 25-year-old daughter. Two of her children, who are now 7 and 9 years old, were born into her second marriage.

She’s been hosting a Christmas party, and she invited her daughter and her grandson as the holiday draws near. But finally, there was a problem because of something.

The woman went on to say that her grandson doesn’t think Santa Claus really exists, and his mother is cool with it. OP is now concerned that her grandson would spoil the magic for her kids if he brings up Santa Claus during the party’s evening as the woman’s young children do believe in Santa Claus.

I begged my daughter to speak with her son so that the magic wouldn’t be ruined for them. I still place parcels labeled “from Santa” beneath the tree and leave cookies and reindeer goodies (bird seeds) out. The woman wrote, “My daughter assured us she wouldn’t force her son to lie, and my kids are mature enough to comprehend if her son chooses to say something.”

According to the woman, her spouse backs her up because they both want to preserve magic.
