Little Ollie Trezise came into the world with a rather rare feature: encephalocele. As he grew, the child’s nose enlarged, creating problems as any slight damage could lead to meningitis.
Doctors strongly advised the parents to consider surgery. Until 9 months old, Ollie lived without surgery, but when his nose became even larger, the parents consented to the operation to correct the defect.
Everything went well; finally, the child could breathe properly, which was problematic for him before.
The child’s mother decided to share with the world that similar cases exist in medicine and posted a photo of her son on the internet.
Many people supported little Ollie and wished him a speedy recovery.
