Matthew Perry’s fans are in tears following ITV documentary that highlights his ‘heartbreaking’ final days
A new ITV documentary has moved Matthew Perry fans to tears by revealing his ‘heartbreaking’ final days.
In October 2023, Perry succumbed to the ‘acute effects’ of the drug ketamine, after his assistant found him motionless in his jacuzzi.
Five people have been detained in connection with the Friends star’s death due to their continuous possession of ketamine.
Jasveen Sangha, also known as the Ketamine Queen, was the last of the five detained to plead guilty to five crimes related to his murder, and he may spend years in jail as a consequence.

This revelation came around the same time that ITV’s documentary about the celebrity aired, leaving fans in tears after hearing details about the actor’s final days.
The documentary, titled Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy, includes interviews with attorneys and specialists who relate Perry’s sad final days.
This includes one lawyer involved in the case describing damning text exchanges between the persons who provided Perry with ketamine, which is thought to have contributed to his death.
The documentary has left admirers of the Hollywood actor in tears, with one fan writing, X: “Crying during the Matthew Perry documentary. Friends is my absolute go-to, and I still think it’s devastating that the world is Chandler-less.”
A commenter on ITVX criticized LA for being full of ‘sycophant vacuous individuals,’ using Matthew Perry as one example. Unfortunately, such a gorgeous man was taken advantage of by scumbags who leeched off him. “There’s too much money.”
A third person added, “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy is now available on ITV, STV, and ITVX.” The world is missing a handsome, witty, and kind man. I can’t believe he died over two years ago.
The documentary also included some illuminating interviews on his dying days, albeit none of the Friends cast members appeared.
The film’s director, Robert Palumbo, explained their decision: “Understandably, they were hesitant to go on a documentary about Matthew at this point.”
“Maybe many years down the line… We understand their decision not to appear.”

Perry’s co-stars have paid homage to the hilarious actor since his passing, with Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow issuing an initial joint statement.
The statement added that they were ‘utterly grieved,’ adding, “We were more than simply castmates. We’re a family.
Aniston recently discussed his death, stating that part of her feels it was ‘better’ for him because he is no longer in misery.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, she stated that the actors did ‘everything they could’ to assist him, stating, “We did everything we could when we could.
“But it felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time, since his struggle with that cancer was really difficult for him to overcome.
“As difficult as it was for all of us and the fans, a part of me believes this is better. I’m relieved he’s rid of agony.”
