Lauren Kaye, 31, believed she had discovered her true love in Hannah, 29.
However, after the couple exchanged vows, their joy was marred by harsh criticisms and unfounded allegations.
Lauren Kaye and Hannah were excited to celebrate their love during a lovely, intimate wedding ceremony last summer.
Unfortunately, what should have been a day of happiness turned into a nightmare as online bullies targeted the British couple with cruel and damaging comments. Among the hurtful insults, some even went so far as to label Lauren a ‘paedophile’ simply due to Hannah’s youthful looks.
At 31, Lauren has shown incredible strength, gracefully brushing off hurtful comments. Even when some say her partner resembles a 10-year-old boy, she stays composed.
“I take it lightly and just ignore it. I’m a very calm person, and the online remarks don’t affect me,” she shared with The Mirror.
Yet, it’s not the online negativity that troubles her the most; it’s the moments in public when people overlook Hannah and assume she’s just a child, addressing Lauren as her ‘mom.’
“That does bother me,” she admits.
Their experience sheds light on the frustrating reality of being judged by looks, as many mistake 29-year-old Hannah for a much younger person.
She frequently faces requests for ID when making age-restricted purchases and even during simple home deliveries. Still, Hannah refuses to let the criticism get under her skin.
“It bothers me to be compared to a child when I’m with Lauren, as it makes our relationship seem inappropriate. But I’d much rather be called a child than be accused of something worse,” she remarked.
Despite some critics commenting on her fashion choices and suggesting a makeover to dodge the criticism, Hannah remains completely unbothered.
“It’s 2025. Having a ‘butch partner’ isn’t exactly rare. There’s no reason for me to hide it,” she stated confidently.
Lauren and Hannah’s romance started two years ago on the dating app Tinder.
Triplets through IVF
Just seven months after Lauren proposed in January 2024, the couple tied the knot at a registry office in Surrey, U.K. They then set their sights on a bigger dream: welcoming triplets through IVF in Cyprus.
Lauren, who has an 11-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, faced challenges in finding suitable IVF options in the UK. However, with Hannah by her side, she is thrilled about the next chapter in their family journey.
“I’m so excited to do this again. Having a supportive partner to become a parent with means everything,” Lauren expressed.
Recently, Lauren and Hannah shared the thrilling news that they are expecting triplets through IVF on their first attempt.
It looks like the pregnancy is progressing nicely! Lauren recently posted on Instagram, “I woke up to the triplets wiggling around (after they kept me up all night with heartburn!)”
The couple has shared that the triplets will be delivered via C-section.
On their GoFundMe page, they expressed their sincere thanks for the incredible support they’ve received from their social media followers.
What’s next for them? After Hannah lost her job and with the triplets at a higher risk of being born prematurely, their followers encouraged them to start a fundraising campaign to help with the expenses related to the babies’ arrival and any necessary hospital stays.
Although Lauren was initially unsure about setting up the fundraiser, the flood of supportive messages inspired them to go ahead with it.
They also took a moment to thank those who have already contributed to their wish list, showing their genuine appreciation for the kindness they’ve received, even from critics. With grateful hearts, the couple is eager to share the next chapter of their journey with their wonderful online community.
Despite the trolls spreading negativity, Lauren and Hannah are looking ahead, committed to creating a life filled with love and joy, regardless of others’ opinions.
